Stainless Steel 321 Pipe is made up of an austenitic stainless steel that has chromium, nickel and is stabilized with the help of titanium. The 321 Stainless Steel ERW Pipe is produced through electric resistance welding of steel strips or coils in a longitudinal direction. It is widely used in high-temperature applications such as exhaust systems, heat exchangers, boiler tubes, jet engine parts, and chemical processing equipment. The ERW pipes are cost-effective and provide high structural strength along the weld line.
The ASTM A312 TP321 Pipe has 205 MPa minimum yield strength and 515 MPa minimum tensile strength. With a melting point between 1398-1446 °C, the SS 321 pipes are designed to handle temperatures ranging from 800 °F to 1650 °F. The SS UNS S32100 Pipe can be customized in various shapes such as round, square, and rectangular to meet specific structural or piping layout requirements.

SS ERW Pipe 321 is a welded stainless steel pipe made from 321 grade austenitic stainless steel and manufactured using Electric Resistance Welding (ERW). It is stabilized with titanium, which prevents chromium carbide precipitation during welding and makes it suitable for high-temperature services.
Titanium is added to stabilize the carbon in the alloy (forming titanium carbides instead of chromium carbides). This prevents sensitisation and intergranular corrosion when the pipe is exposed to temperatures in the carbide precipitation range (800 °F to 1650 °F).
SS 321 is stabilized with titanium and is preferred for elevated temperature service (up to 1650 °F / 900 °C) without intergranular corrosion. SS 316 contains molybdenum (2-3%) and provides superior corrosion resistance in marine and chloride-rich environments at lower temperatures.
SS 321 has the UNS designation S32100 and Werkstoff Nr. designation 1.4541 (DIN/EN equivalent X6CrNiTi18-10).
SS 321 ERW Pipes are commonly available in sizes from 1/2" NB to 24" NB. The wall thickness ranges from schedule 5S up to schedule 80S and above, matching standard ANSI B36.19M dimensions.
